Budget 2021. The things we can control

Whatever the Chancellor announces in this afternoon's Budget, we know that it’s likely the current position on Stamp Duty will change- whether at the end of this month, or in a few months’ time. The industry has been talking about this ‘cliff edge’ for some time, and whilst we don’t have a crystal ball, there are some things we can do to prepare for the months ahead and a possible downturn in the market.

It’s all about the pipeline. And dedicating every spare moment you have to building and nurturing that pipeline. That’s the only element we can control.

I know that isn’t the world’s sexiest solution but, as an industry, it’s seen us through tough times. That said, pipelines take time and energy to build and let’s face it, there’s always other day to day tasks that tend to come first.
